good-bye blues
Well, it is officially the end of the school year. but let me back up a bit. banquet was awesome and our concerts were great. at awards nite, i got a certificate thingy for highest grade in band so that was cool. grad for the 12th graders was also the other nite. it was fun watching all of their excited faces and celebrating with them. but unfortunately, then come the good-byes. i have now found something about ukarumpa that i truly hate, other than the lack of malls, and that is the amount of good-byes one has to say while living in PNG. i have come to the conclusion that it is no fair. to live in such close proximity with all of your best friends, no matter wat the age, and then have to say goodbye and have them leave to go 9,000 some miles away. ITS NOT FAIR!!!! sigh
 but it is break. and there is also the excitement of all of your friends coming back from furlough so its hard, because you don’t know whether to be excited or sad. three of my really good friends are coming back from furlough so i am happy about that.
it is just hard to be happy in the midst of sorrow but i know with Jesus, it is possible. but at least i get to sleep in and hang loose during break and just take a deep breath. sorry if this is a bit of a depressing entry….
fill me, Lord
with joy so sweet
that i dance
with happy feet
let my life
ring clear and true
reflecting what
i see in You
with arms outstretched
and reaching high
hear me rejoice
right through the sky
with sweet abandon
i will sing
and worship You
my only King
